Day 1: Arrival in Kathgodam – Drive to Pithoragarh (200 km / 7-8 hrs)

Your sacred journey begins as you arrive at Kathgodam Railway Station or nearby airport, where you will be greeted by our tour representative. After a short briefing, embark on a picturesque drive towards Pithoragarh, the cultural capital of the Kumaon region. The route takes you through lush valleys, winding mountain roads, pine and oak forests, and traditional villages. A highlight of the drive is passing through Almora, famous for its scenic views and cultural heritage. Enjoy short halts en route for refreshments and photography, soaking in the charm of the Himalayan foothills. By evening, arrive at Pithoragarh, nestled amidst soaring peaks and rolling meadows. After check-in at your hotel, relax from the day’s journey. In the evening, you can take a leisurely walk around the local markets or simply rest and prepare for the adventure ahead. Day 2: Pithoragarh to Dharchula (90 km / 4-5 hrs)

After a refreshing breakfast, drive towards Dharchula, a serene border town located along the banks of the sacred Kali River. This picturesque town is known for its unique Indo-Nepal culture, with the Nepalese town on the opposite side of the river connected via a suspension bridge. On arrival, complete the formalities for inner line permits, mandatory for traveling into the restricted Himalayan region near the international border. After check-in at your guesthouse/hotel, the rest of the day is free to explore. You may stroll through the vibrant local market, visit the riverside, or simply admire the beautiful surroundings of the Himalayan foothills. Day 3: Dharchula to Gunji (65 km / 5-6 hrs)

Post breakfast, begin the adventurous drive to Gunji, a small but significant high-altitude village located at 3,200 meters. The route is scenic yet thrilling, with narrow mountain roads winding through dense forests, rocky terrains, and spectacular river valleys. The mighty Kali River flows alongside, guiding your path as you ascend higher into the mountains. Gunji serves as the base camp for Om Parvat and Adi Kailash Darshan, making it an essential halt for acclimatization. On arrival, check in to your simple accommodation and spend the evening exploring the village. Day 4: Excursion to Om Parvat (35 km each way)

The drive takes you through rugged mountain paths, offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks and pristine valleys. As you approach Om Parvat, a rare and awe-inspiring sight unfolds before your eyes the natural snow formation of “ॐ” (Om) on the mountain face. This sacred symbol, visible year-round, is regarded as a direct blessing of Lord Shiva and holds deep spiritual importance for Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains alike. Day 5: Gunji to Kalapani – Nabidhang (40 km / 3-4 hrs)

Day 9: Pithoragarh to Kathgodam (200 km / 7-8 hrs)

After breakfast, start your drive back to Kathgodam, passing through winding mountain roads, verdant valleys, and pine forests. This marks the last scenic road journey of your yatra, giving you time to reflect on the divine experiences and blessings received during the pilgrimage. On arrival, check in to your hotel for overnight stay in Kathgodam.
